Our vision is to elevate online learning by applying the most successful approaches in virtual education to create an accessible and inclusive homeschool curriculum platform where all students can be successful. Our K-8 platforms include Miacademy, Always Icecream, and Clever Dragons, and our 9-12 options include MiaPrep and MiaPrep Online High School. Our student base is rapidly growing, and we’re hiring for multiple positions across several departments! Responsibilities:
- Copyedit a diverse range of education materials in both English and Spanish, including video scripts, closed captioning, lesson PDFs, and practice questions.
- Adhere to and apply established style guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with content creators to review and implement revisions.
- Use project management tools, communication tools, and Google Drive.
- Participate in meetings to discuss updates and share insights.
- Proactively identify opportunities to refine the style guide and copyeditor guidelines.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience copyediting English and Spanish materials.
- Bilingual – fluent in both Latin American Spanish and English.
- Experience with AP style or other style guides/manuals.
- Quick learner & tech-savvy.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style conventions both in English & Spanish.
- Growth mindset and motivated by constructive feedback.
- Proven ability to work independently and with a team.
- High standards of integrity and transparency.
- Access to a computer/laptop (with camera) and reliable high-speed internet connection.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Airtable or other virtual project management tools.
- Previous experience working in education or with an EdTech company.
- Previous remote work experience.

Schedule:
- Copyeditors for Spanish & English are expected to have 5-10 hours of availability each week on a year-round basis.
