We are Sure Negotiations Will Conclude Before 19th June 2024 – CCT-GH
COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE 44™H NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
MEETING OF COALITION OF CONCERNED TEACHERS GHANA, HELD ON THE
16TH AND 22ND MAY 2024
The National Executive Council (NEC) convey its utmost gratitude to the rank and file of our
members for their unflinching support to leadership.
The Council then resolved as follows;
1. Negotiation of a new Conditions of Service is earnestly ongoing and has not broken
down. Members should be rest assured that, leadership will come out of this negotiation
with enhanced benefits as done before.
We are sure negotiation will be concluded on or before the 19th June, 2024 deadline given
by the NLC unless otherwise.
2. The brouhaha surrounding the sale of SSNIT stakes in six hotels to Hon. Brian
Acheampong is one that we cannot gloss over.
Notwithstanding, representatives of Labour on the SSNIT Board, majority of workers
who contribute to SSNIT were kept in the dark.
We will not stand aloof for government or its agencies to toy with our pensions, our
lifeline at the time of retirement. Thus, we support the stance of Organized Labour,
calling on SSNIT to halt the sale of its stake.
We assure members that we will not rest and we are ready to do all that it takes to ensure
SSNIT serves its purpose to its contributors.
