Accounting to Director General of Education Forum; What have you done So far.Â
The Ghana Education Service (GES) recently held a one-day forum for selected District/Municipal Directors of Education and Heads of Basic and Senior High Schools from the Eastern and Volta regions.
This “Accounting to DG” forum serves as a platform to strengthen accountability and improve educational management through monitoring, evaluation, supervision, and reporting.
During the forum, participants reported on their achievements over the past three years, along with the challenges they’ve faced and the strategies they’re implementing to address them and ultimately improve learning outcomes.
This forum highlights the GES’s commitment to fostering open communication and collaboration between regional and district/municipal educational leaders. By holding these sessions, the GES aims to ensure all schools are held accountable for educational progress and student success.
Present were;
The Director-General of GES, Dr Eric Nkansah; the Deputy Director-General in charge of Management Service, Mr Stephen Kwaku Owusu; the Eastern Regional Director of Education, Dr Mrs Ivy Asantewaa Owusu; the Head of Budget; Mr Jeremiah Ansah; the Volta Regional Director of Education, represented by the Regional Head of Budget; and other staff from the headquarters.
