25 % Increment of Public Sector Base Pay in July Second Tranche

GRA Reduced PAYE Tax; Check New 23% Salary Chart for Single Spine salary Workers

The Government of Ghana is set to Adjust Public Sector Workers’ salary increments to 25% in July 2024 to December 2024, this comes after the negotiations on Public sector salaries concluded last year.

A signed agreement between the Government of Ghana, represented by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR), and Ministry of Finance (MoF) as “The Employer,” and Organized Labour, consisting of workers Unions, Associations, and Institutions within the Public Service of Ghana, referred to as “Labour.” reveals the extra increment of the 2% which will take effect in July 2024.

Effective January 2024, the 23% increment was paid to all public sector workers and this will end in June 2024 for the 25% to take effect from July 2024 to December 2024.

The table below indicates the annual income tax bands and rates generally applicable to the chargeable income of resident individuals:
