Pedagogy 2 Collaborative and Experiential Approach PLC Lesson

The collaborative approach to learning has to do with grouping learners to perform a task, in so doing, learners have to tolerate each other, accept each other’s views, and make sure they learn from each other.

This approach helps students to learn, respect the needs of each other, and provide each other with the help needed for the group to do well.

It helps to boost the confidence of learners. when a teacher accepts a group’s points, it boosts their confidence.

How to involve everyone in class

To involve everyone, use strategies like group work, peer teaching games,

Group them, as other members to call a different group member to present, because the groups want to do well, the group will choose a very weak student from the other group to present, what the teacher will observe is that, the group members will start training their weak student, to talk, all groups will train the potential students to be called.

Group learners, ask them to perform a task, and let a leaner take part like the introduction, the body the conclusion, and the assessement

Fishbowl approach; leaners form two concentric circles, inner and outer. The small group will observe actively and the other groups outside will later learn from the inner groups, all groups must be in the class.

Saga; the person who knows the answer explains first, then others can ask questions or include more points.

Games; use games to involve all.

Experiential learning is the process of learning through experience, learners learn by exploring and reflecting.

Classroom Games that can be incorporated into lessons to make it engaging
